Terms and conditions
- The Wiggles kindy visit competition is administered by the State of Queensland through the Office of Industrial Relations (ABN 13 846 673 994) of 1 William Street, Brisbane City, 4000 (Promoter).
- Entry into the competition (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions (Terms).
- Entrants must be the parent/guardian of a child enrolled in, or an educator at, a Queensland kindergarten or long day care with kindergarten program excluding:
- employees of the Promoter (Office of Industrial Relations) and their immediate family members.
- management, employees, directors and contractors of the promoter, its related bodies corporate, firms or companies associated with the promotion (including suppliers of prizes).
- a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, guardian, child or sibling of a person referred to in paragraph 3(a) of these terms.
- persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter (eligible entrants).
- The persons referred to in paragraph 3(c) of these terms includes natural and non-natural relations (in the opinion of the Promoter). The Promoter is responsible for determining whether a person is an eligible entrant in its absolute discretion.
- The competition will commence on Wednesday 28 February and conclude Friday 29 March 2024 at midnight (AEST) (promotional period). Any late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the judges.
How to enter
- Entries must include either a video (no larger than 50MB), photo, PDF or word document and should highlight:
- why electrical safety is important.
- messages from The Wiggles song ‘Electricity!’
- why your child loves kindy
- the entrant (the child/parents/guardians/teachers and/or kindergarten class).
- For the entry to be valid entrants must:
- complete all the fields in the form when uploading their entry
- complete the consent form for each adult/child in the entry.
- Entries must be submitted through the Woobox competition portal.
- There is no limit to the number of entries that entrants can submit.
- The Promoter will have complete discretion in assessing entries against the criteria and terms and conditions in determining the winners. The Promoter will not accept any responsibility or liability in respect of any lost entries.
- Entries will not be returned to entrants.
- By entering the competition, each entrant guarantees that their entry is their original work.
- The Promoter will ensure that there is no disclosure to any third party of any information provided by children, parents/guardians and educators/kindergartens except with the prior consent of that entrant or where such a disclosure is authorised or required by law.
- All entrants authorise, subject to receipt of prior written notification, the Promoter to use the entries (other than confidential information) for any purposes it sees fit including, but not limited to, promotional purposes which may include being published in OIR newsletters, on the WorkSafe.qld.gov.au or electricalsafety.qld.gov.au websites, media releases, traditional media and/or social media including the Electrical Safety Office Facebook page, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Instagram page and Minister for State Development and Infrastructure, Minister for Industrial Relations and Racing Grace Grace’s Facebook page
- Entrants who breach any of these Terms are subject to disqualification.
Draws and prizes
- The judges will select:
- one (1) winning entry
- thirteen (13) runner up entries.
- The winner/s will be notified using the phone number provided on the winning entrant’s official entry form. Winner announcements are anticipated in April 2024.
- One winning entrant will receive a visit from the Wiggles to the nominated kindergarten, and thirteen runners up will win family passes (two adult tickets and two child tickets) to an April 2024 Wiggles concert.
- The Wiggles visit date will be Wednesday 24 April 2024.
- Entrants must confirm that their kindergarten is available for a visit from the Wiggles on Wednesday 24 April 2024 upon entering, and acknowledge media, ministerial and Electrical Safety Office representatives will be present during the visit.
- Every person (adult or child) who appears in the entry must be covered by an individual consent form.. Children in attendance at the Wiggles visit may appear in media footage. Nominated kindy contacts should advise prior should any children not be allowed to appear in media footage.
- The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
